Welcome back! I'm so excited to start my third year at OES! I worked very hard over the summer to prepare, and I'm excited to share lots of new changes with everyone.
Some things that have stayed the same are the first day assignments. Like always, students will receive a course overview on their first day. This handout will explain how my language arts class will operate this year as well as share the expectations for students. This will need to be signed by student and parent and returned by Friday. If you ever need another copy, you can find this posted in the handouts section of the site. Also posted there is the Million Words letter to parents. This is an optional assignment for parents that will help me get to know your student better. I typically only send this home with 5th grade parents, but anyone is welcome to write one at any time. I hope to keep you updated on class happenings through this blog, so check back often for updates. As always, feel free to contact me anytime if you have questions! -Miss G

I am a 2011 graduate of St. Michael's College where I studied English and Secondary Education. I love teaching, learning, soccer, and buying more books than I could ever possibly read. This is my sixth year teaching at OES. Archives
